Strategy and Troubleshooting

You KNOW people are looking for dentists in your area online and that they make buying decisions based on what information they find.

YOUR practice needs to be where people in YOUR location are looking for dentists.

The trouble is, there are so many places your practice could appear online! Your website is the most important place, but people will also find you in online directories, review sites, social media and many other places. Which of these will work best for you?

Don’t forget, the online landscape is in constant flux. There are always new platforms, software and apps being developed, each one claiming superiority over the other. Social platforms come and go, and those that stay are in constant refinement. Even Google, Australia’s favourite search engine, reinvents aspects of itself frequently and is constantly making changes to its search algorithms.

To top this all off, Australian Dentists must comply with strict advertising and professional standards.

With so many factors to (1) be aware of and (2) piece together into something that works, it’s no wonder some dentists don’t know where to start: it can be overwhelming, confusing and frustrating.

Where can you go to find out:

  • What type of website works best for Australian dentists?
  • What content is needed on your website to make your practice stand out from the competition?
  • What’s the best way to help local people find your website?
  • Which social platforms are likely to work best to amplify your presence?
  • How do you keep tabs on what’s working and what isn’t?
  • How does a busy practice get everything done?

You need the insight of someone who understands best practice online marketing as well as the unique needs of an Australian Dental Practice.

You need Dental Web Strategies.

Analytics And Review

If you have an existing website you SHOULD have Google Analytics installed and have access to the dashboard so that you can learn about the number of people visiting your website and details about their location, the device they are using and their behaviour once on your website.

The typical feedback we get from dentists about the out-of-the-box Google Analytics dashboard is that it’s a bit overwhelming. There’s a lot of data available, but knowing how to access this data and put it into a format that’s easy to understand requires quite a learning curve: something that busy dental practices often don’t have time for.

Other dentists either haven’t got Analytics set up on their website or their developer has set Analytics up for them under their own account, and don’t provide full access.

If you DON’T yet have analytics on your website and want to do it yourself, click here to get started (link goes to the Google Analytics set-up page on Google’s website).

If you’d rather get help, we can:

  • Set up your Google Analytics account and get the tracking code installed on your website
  • Create an easy-to-read dashboard to make understanding your data a lot easier
  • Review your Analytics, explain how your website is currently performing, and discuss improvements

Troubleshooting

You know something has gone wrong with your website:

  • the phones have stopped ringing
  • your site has disappeared from Google’s search results
  • you’ve received a note from Google telling you your website has been penalised or hacked
  • you’ve received a letter from AHPRA identifying non-compliance with the Advertising Guidelines

You’ve googled the problem, and all you can figure out is: you’re in trouble.

Not to worry. We’ll figure out what’s gone wrong and get you back on track. Our Dental Website Troubleshooting Audit will be used to give your website the once-over. We’ll check everything: from technical factors to backlinks to content to trust factors. Then we’ll deliver a detailed action plan listing everything you’ll need to do to give your website the best chance of recovering from what ails it. This will be accompanied by advice on current best practice, so that you’ll know how to move forward while remaining in Google’s good books.

Confidential, Effective Help With EVERY Aspect Of Your Practice’s Online Visibility

Dentists often confide in me that they find the whole online marketing caper to be frustrating, exasperating and, on occasions, overwhelming.

There are so many moving parts. So many conflicting opinions. So many things to take into consideration.

This is where dentists seem to run into trouble. They put their trust in a digital agency or marketing consultant, only to discover that they end up paying more money than they needed to, or have been trapped into something that will cost them a lot to get out of, or they don’t seem to be achieving their expectations.

That’s where Dental Web Strategies comes in.

Our primary purpose is to help Australian dental practice owners and managers to understand online marketing and to do theirs effectively. We’re on your side: we make sure we stay abreast of best practices in all areas of online marketing so that we can pass this knowledge on to you, and help you make the best possible decision about your online visibility.
